Low Carb Cooking Class
This is a cooking class that focuses on techniques to reduce carbohydrates without reducing flavor. We realize that the growing cost of groceries affects families decisions when purchasing groceries. Never fear, thats why we’re here. All our meals are prepared on a modest budget.
Mark Snyder has been preparing low carb/high fat meals and battling Diabetes for the past 8 years. He learned how to manage his diabetes by learning new and innovative ways of replacing carbs in his meal.
ABOUT THE CLASS
We meet once a month (usually 3rd Saturdays from 10am - 12pm) for 2 hours of demonstrations, tastings, and basic culinary instruction. Mark does most of the cooking but his anecdotes and recipes will have you smiling while you dine on delicious low carb food.
MOST RECENT CLASS
All of our ingredients were purchased for $53 just down the street at Aldi’s. This cart has enough to feed a family of 4 for three nights. That’s less than what you would pay for fast food.

MARK’s HELPFUL TIPS
Tip # 1
Vegetables that grow above the ground are lower in carbs than root veggies. If you are carb counting take note!
When fresh garlic is crushed, the enzyme alliinase converts alliin into allicin, which is responsible for the aroma of fresh garlic. So if you want less flavor don’t crush it, finely chop it.
You can peel garlic by putting it into a mason jar and shaking it.
