MOMENTUM GALA 2018

49th Annual Momentum GalaCelebrating MOMENTUM on October 13, 2018, 7PM.

This year the “Momentum” continues with the 2018 Focus On Renewal Gala on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Ryan Arts Center. This years honoree is community advocate Ms. Marlene Banks.

“Momentum” is more than our Gala theme this year -- it’s the perfect way to describe what’s happening at Focus On Renewal and in the Sto-Rox community. Thanks to the talented and community focused musical talent we have committed to perform with Sto-Rox youth that evening, we anticipate close to 200 attendees, more than we've ever had before! Last year we set the record selling out at 150. With delicious food and seating in the library, a huge silent auction in the gallery and music/dancing in full swing in the theater, this will be a "can't miss" event!

Summer Reader Series

Most libraries around the county participate in some sort of Summer Reading program to encourage children (teens and adults too!) to read over the summer. The best part is that when they read, they can earn or win prizes and other incentives. Any child can participate in Kids Summer Reading at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. They don’t have to have a library card, they don’t have to live in the city of Pittsburgh and they could even be kids that are visiting their grandparents for the summer.
