Positive Parenting  Family Support Centers provide programming to families with children birth through age five. The goal of the program is to prevent child abuse and help children and their families transition into the school system. This program is designed to provide education and support to the families we serve. The Positive Parenting Program consists of:

• Preschool, Home visits using Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and Parent Child Home Partnership (PCHP).
• PRESCHOOL operates 5 days a week 9:00 a.m. to Noon. We strive to promote self esteem, social skills and skills necessary to enter kindergarten.
• Parent and Child activities and parent groups are also a part of the preschool program. Preschool is for children 3, 4, 5 years of age.
  
• PARENTS AS TEACHERS (PAT) is one of the home visiting components of Positive Parenting. Every family receiving services through Positive Parenting will receive a minimum of one home visit a month using the PAT curriculum. This curriculum is based on the belief that parents are the first and most influential teacher of a child. The Mission of PAT is to provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
  
• PARENT CHILD HOME PARTNERSHIP (PCHP) is another home visiting component of PPP. Visits are conducted with families with children 16 months through 3 years old 2x a week for half hour each visit. The home visitor models fun ways to help the child learn through play.

All of the services provided are FREE of charge.
