FOR Employee Recognized for Hard Work
Congratulations to Barb Lazer, FOR Sto-Rox Family Health Center's social service employee, who was honored by the Senior Training Employment Program (STEP) through the Allegheny County Department of Human Services. She was presented with a gift during a special presenation at the semi-annual participant luncheon. Barb was recognized for her achievements and setting an example for her peers in the STEP program. She began her career in Focus On Renewal's development department in 2010.

Robinson Township Library hosted a food drive for Focus On Renewal's food pantry. To kick off the drive, the Montour High School boys soccer team collected 170 items. Donations were also accepted at the Robinson Township Municipal building and Police Department.

Class is Back in Session
Thanks to a new partnership with Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, FOR will be able to continue to offer adult education and training in McKees Rocks. Those interested in enrolling in the Career Pathways Classes at FOR should call 412.632.1841. Classes begin September 12, and run daily Mondays through Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm. The Career Pathways curriculum covers equal hours of work-based training and core academic studies for adult learners.
