Gift Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in making a charitable contribution to Focus On Renewal(FOR). Our programs greatly rely on many individuals, foundations, companies and organizations to donate money, goods, services and time each year. Now more than ever, your gift makes a major difference in the lives of the people we serve.
Along with monetary contributions, we also gratefully accept donations of books for the library, gently-used clothing and household items, as well as food for the FOR Community Center Food Pantry.
WAYS TO MAKE YOUR GIFT
A gift of cash allows funds to be directed immediately to the various programs of Focus on Renewal. In most cases, donations through cash, check or credit cards are fully deductible for donors who itemize their federal income taxes.
For more information about making a gift, or to inquire about volunteer opportunities, please contact our Development Office at 412-771-6460 ext. 300 or e-mail us at mgallagher@forstorox.org.
Charitable donations may also be mailed to:

The United Way Contributor Choice Program
Are You a United Way Contributor? Through the United Way Contributor Choice Program, you can direct your gift to Focus on Renewal!
To participate in the United Way's Contributors Choice Program:
- request a Contributor Choice Pledge Form from your employer,
- fill out the form,
- remember to include Focus on Renewal and our Agency Code (see below) in the section labeled "designate to a Specific Agency.”
Your gift supports our efforts to improve the quality of life for the thousands of individuals and families we serve.
You can support F.O.R. by specifying your gift to either the Focus on Renewal Neighborhood Corporation (code 208) or the Focus On Renewal Sto-Rox Family Health Center (code 1359) through Contributors Choice. For federal employees, our Combined Federal Campaign ID number is 7176.
Car Donations
Focus On Renewal (FOR) has joined the many non-profits which now accept donated vehicles. Donors and members of the community who want to support Focus On Renewal and get a receipt for their tax donation will now find it easy and convenient to do. Vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, jet skiis and boats will be accepted, although some restrictions apply. Free pick-ups are available at your home, office or at repair shops. Cars do not have to be running in most cases and you will need to have a clear title.
Donors will receive a receipt for their donation and IRS form 1098 B to use for their taxes. The new tax law allows the donor to take the value for which the vehicle sold as a tax deduction. To arrange to have your vehicle picked up, or to find out more information about the program, call our representative at 877-411-DONATE.
Annual Holiday Appeal
During the past year, approximately 15,000 different individuals have been touched by the caring hands and hearts of our employees and volunteers. Butterfly Garden Early Learning Center received re-accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The Father Ryan Arts Center held its long-awaited Grande Opening in October. The excellent care at the health center, the three family support centers, the town library and the programs which support the total development of children all continue to flourish. The fourteen vehicles continue to transport seniors and people with disabilities where they need to go. Despite the current economic challenges, Focus On Renewal remains a solid and trusted friend of those in need. You and your generosity are partners in our mission.
Thank you as always for your steadfast support. May we also ask for your prayers for all our efforts on behalf of those in need?
Gratefully yours,
Father Regis J. Ryan
